Customer Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for independent contractors that will represent our Fortune 500 and other world-class clients by providing customer service, tech support, and inbound sales via phone, email, and chat across a variety of industries including retail, roadside assistance, tax support, and more. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inbound and outbound phone calls with customers.
  • Quickly assess customer needs and provide sound solutions.
  • Document details of all calls and customer interactions into computer systems.
  • Manage a computer with multiple systems, programs, and screens simultaneously.
  • Provide services remotely in a distraction-free environment and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Provide services independently with little to no supervision.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of sales/customer service experience.
  • Experience handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Basic computer skills including navigating multiple tabs, windows, and systems.
  • Basic typing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable empathizing and remaining calm with difficult callers.

  • CPU Speed:
    • Intel i class or better, or AMD APU class or better, clocked at Dual-core 1.4 GHz or better (PC)
      • NOTE: Atom, Celeron, Pentium, and Opteron processors are not permitted
    • iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook/MacBook Air/MacBook Pro, Mac Pro built-in 2015 or later (MAC)
      • Recommended: iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook/MacBook Air/MacBook Pro, Mac Pro built-in 2019 or later
  • Hard Drive:
    • 20 GB or more of available space
    • 60 GB or more of total space
  • Memory:
    • 4 GB of RAM minimum
    • 8 GB of RAM or better is preferable
  • Operating System:
    • Windows 10 (PC)
    • Windows 11 (Supported on most client programs)
    • MAC Must be running MS Windows via Boot Camp
  • Internet Connection and Speed:
    • Hard-wired connection (no wireless)
    • Minimum 10 Mbps download / Minimum 3 Mbps upload
    • Must have an Ethernet port or a USB adapter in order to maintain a hardwired internet connection
  • Additional equipment (USB headsets, software, and internet/phone service) are required
